Thread: Feedback on act idea and website

Act idea:

I really love the song La Valse d'Amelie...every time I hear it I really want to do a burlesque routine to it. I just see a masquerade bit in front of me...but more as one of those spinning ballerinas, the ones in music boxes.

Website is pretty - pink and curleques - nice!

I think that you've got all the bases covered, page-wise.

Some pix would be great - esp if you've got a showreel of yourself working.

Re your e-mail address, I'd do something to camoflage it a little so that autobots can't pick it up when they're hunting for addys and inundate you with unwanted spam!

Your idea to have music playing on the site is nice - but be careful of copyright infringement ;-)

Perhaps a links page would be good - linking through to MoB and other sites taht you recommend for burly types?

Your English is excellent, but there are a couple of things that could maybe be tweeked in the biog bit. I'd change the word 'screamed' for 'squealed'? More cute than screamed? And now I've shut the page and can't remember what else there was! It wasn't much to worry about anyways.

umm thats exactly my act... i avoided the amelie music for a long while due to the obviious connotations but eventually gave in last year to use the music. Cecilia Rouge also uses this music for a fan dance.

My act is called 'Music Box Dream' and it's a music box doll awakening act combined with a serpentine/isis wing costume.

The costume has just been re-made and here is a photo before the new costume from TeaseoRama in San Francisco last October

Hi Amelie, beautiful costume and photos! I'd love to see your act someday.
It seems like many dancers use the same music now and then. With all of us in different parts of the world it's hard to know who's doing what to what music...
