Thread: MoB Live Chat Is Back - And Better Than Ever!

A few months ago we experimented with a live chat system on MoB and the main criticism (apart from it taking up a huge wodge of screen space) was the fact that everything spoken was available for everybody to see. For this reason, we removed it until a better solution came around.

The new chat works exactly like Facebook (check the bottom bar). As long as you've added them to your friends lists, you'll be able to chat directly with anyone you like from any page on MoB.

Of course you can also set your status to 'Offline' if you don't want to use the system and you can also have a Facebook-style status notification - this is done by clicking the 'Chat Options' icon on the far right of the bottom bar.

[EDIT 20/07/09] Group chat is also back!

You asked for it and so we've now integrated our group chatroom back onto the site. You can access this in two ways.

Firstly, you can view the group chat in a normal webpage.

Alternatively, you can launch the new MoB Group Chat Messenger. This will launch the chat in its own popup window which means that you can carry on surfing the site (or any other site) without missing out on all the gossip!

Wa-hey! Now, the next request will be for group chat functionality to be made available.

Wonderful, I really miss our chats! I echo wanting the group chat though, it was so lovely to chat to, and get to know people I may never have come across before.

Fantastic to see the chat back! I agree it was ace to chat to people I had never met before.

group chat would be good! especially as i only know one person on this board! if anyone wanted to add me feel free!

oh yeh group chat sounds good ....dont really know anyone on here but the people i've exchanged msgs with so far all seem lovely so would be great to get to know people a bit better

Having a choice of a public room is a good idea, I had hoped that would be what had returned rather dissapointed to find "Who's Online (0)"
