Thread: Inspiration: Music by/about/for scandalous women

There was a question on Ask Metafilter recently about songs sung by or to a scandalous woman (not necessarily the singer, but the character of the narrator). Currently there are 98 comments, and most comments have more than one suggestion.

Since "scandalous woman" could pretty much describe most of contemporary burlesque, this would make a GREAT source of inspiration for future acts. Check out some of the songs and see if they fit your show, or see if you can create something new!

It's a 3-CD set called "Bad, Bad Girls!", if memory serves. There's also a good compilation of rockabilly bad-girl songs whose anem escapes me - something like "Good Girls Gone Bad". I'll check tonight...
