Academic Research: Angela McRobbie and Jacki Wilson talk burlesque
For those writing academic work on burlesque, you may like to listen to this old 2008 Radio 4 programme: BBC - Radio 4 - Thinking Allowed
You'll need a copy of Real Player installed in order to listen to the file.
I've not downloaded and listened to it myself as I'm a bit sick of the "is burlesque-striptease empowering?" feminist argument... I find it tiresome, relentless and out of date. Still, I thought I'd post the link here in order to help others

Thanks for posting that B, some very interesting points. Not sure I would use any of that in my phd though, as like you said, It's old hat. It does always come down to the same old tired debate on empowerment. I wish somebody would change the record!
Oh yea and boobies, boobies, boobies, I loves getting em out for the girls!
