    Default first time corset?

Hey guys, I was just after some advice on getting my first proper corset. I have a few, but they're all generic sizes (small or size 6-8) and I'm after one which will actually make a difference to my silhouette. Just wondering, what's the best make for me to go for? I'm not wanting to spend too much my first time round, maybe about £80ish for now and then I want to get myself a What Katie Did corset. My waist is about 24-25", what size corset would be appropriate for me?

Also, anyone know of any good vintage/thrift stores I could look in up in the North West? Manchester, Liverpool way?

    Thanks x

    Hi,
I would recommend a 20- 22"" corset, its always a good guideline to go for one that is 3 - 4" smaller than your natural waist size. It also depends on how fleshy you are, smaller waistswill have less to pull in. You could probably buy a 20" corset and to start with, have it open by up to 2" to give you time to adjust and then gradually pull it tighter until it is fully closed, thus giving you a 4 " reduction.

Also, there a few good vintage stores in Liverpool, try Quiggins and Raiders on Hardman st, Ressurection on Bold st and Bullet at the top of Hardman st.

    Hope this helpful xx

I realise they might be a bit out of your price range, but if you're in Manchester then check out Kiku Boutique - Kiku Boutique Corsets & Lingerie Manchester

Maybe go and get a couple fitted there, so you can see what you like and what fits you best, you don't have to buy anything straight away
