Fabulous Lippy?
After reading the great thread on foundation, how do you all rate your lippy?
Which ones do you favour for colour, longevity, stayputability...WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

MAC ones are my fave - I'm a total Ruby Woo addict! Previously to that I'd have said Bourjeois (sp?)

I agree with MAC. For quality, texture and colour you can't beat them. I just bought Viva Glam I and Girl About Town today. I also love Chatterbox, Up The Amp & Modesty.
I quite like GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick too. My favourites being Sunrise and Mocha
Sleek Lipsticks are pretty good but I only have one of those, a bright red one I can't remember the name of.Last edited by Buttonz; 01-04-2010 at 07:12 PM.

GOSH are really good too... but i find they never have the colours in stock!

Barry M do a good cheap lippy if you want to experiment with new colours without committing to an expensive one.

I bought a load of GOSH on wholesale and kept a lot of the lipsticks for myself. I think have six or seven of them. A lot of them are discontinued colours too.

I like the Max Factor 'lipfinity' long wear lip colour. I have been using these types of lipcolour for years now and have become totally useless with real lipstick! I also like the Mac version and the Maybeline one as well.

MAC, MAC, MAC! I've had other good highstreet lipsticks too but I think MAC's colours are the best - I use brick lipliner, then ruby woo lipstick with Russian red lipglass over the top. An assistant in Macy's in New York showed me, she was great, but go to any MAC shop and they'll sort you out with the red that suits you most.

p.s. for occasions I don't want my lipstick to look quite so 'done', I either leave off the Russian red lipglass, OR, of all places PRIMARK do a lovely red lipgloss that gives a pretty good colour with two layers, and costs a POUND.

I always use Maxfactor lipfinity 'sweet', i then always use a nice gloss over the top to seal it in. I like Bourjois Paris Effect 3D Max Lipgloss color 62 - its nice a sparkly and shiny, and holds any the color on.
