A great firm for fabric and trimmings is Cheap Fabrics (not a great a name I know, but they are very good and have some great materials).

Talk to Amber Sweet - she may be able to make tassels to suit your vision. She does my hair pieces and i've ordered tassels recently too.

She's performing at High Tease tonight in Bath too if you're going!

Fabric Land by the 'Bear Pit' in Bris has loads of fringing and trimmings and a fair few boobie sized tassels.

It also has strung and stretch strung sequins, ostrich feathers (not fan sized though) and beaded appliques.

Fabulous! I will bear that in mind for the future... at the moment the one I am working on I pretty much already have everything except the fringing... I will go check out her things though. I've seen some of her hair accessories before and thought they were gorgeous

Unfortunately won't be making it to Bath tonight, but will hopefully see her another time... possibly Coco Boudoir?

Fantastic! I haven't been in there for years and the last time I did they didn't have the kind of fabric I was looking for, and I wasn't even looking for anything remotely burlesque. Must try and get there in the next couple of weeks.

I was actually going to pick your brains today about it if I saw you

Yeah that would be cool. Hope you're feeling better and that things went well today...

On the flip side, I ended up going to Bedminster with my mum... looked in some charity furniture shops for a tiki style chair... but came away with a vintage telephone seat/chaise... will try and post pics over the weekend >.<

Thanks once again ladies for your imput!

I went to Fabricland in Bristol today on Ally Katte's rec and it was a veritable treasure trove - I found exactly what I was looking for!

But I have also bookmarked the websites you all suggested and I will definitely keep it all in mind for future costumes

In the meantime, I'm gonna go put up some pics of the finished result!
