Thread: Please give advice on first corset to a bigger girl

Hi

I'm looking to buy my first corset and would really appreciate some advice.
I've a 40F bust [ told you I was a big girl ;-) ]
I think I would like an over bust corset but I think I read somewhere that they are not so good for big busts. Is this true?
Also....would I be better off buying an underbust one because it would give more versatility by changing the bra and knicker sets to create different looks?
Any recommendations of places to buy that wont break the bank?

This thread has lots of advice. The general consensus seems to be that bigger busted ladies should go with underbusts. But then, I reckon smaller busted ladies should go for underbusts too, so who should go for overbusts - medium-busted ladies??

Well I'm a 34G and I can squeeze my ample assets into one! Both types of corset are good, depending on the look you want to create. The only thing I've found with underbust corsets is that they can make you look far too top heavy at times.

If you go for an overbust, make sure you have one made to measure as many off-the-peg ones are only suitable for up to a D cup max and it's no good getting a bigger size just to try to fit your boobs in as it won't fit properly!

Have a look at Elysium Corsets - Home Ema does all mine made to measure quite cheaply and they fit beautifully.
