Where do I get I cat tail and a fake fish skeleton?
Hello y'all!
Does anyone know where I can find a black cat tail to attach to an outfit and a fish skeleton? (not a real one though as I'm vegatarian!)
Thank you

Make it! A fish skeleton would be easy, pipe cleaners, paper mâché, bit of paint, done!

This is what I love about burlesque - the totally bizarre requests.
Yesterday I dropped in to see my mum for a quick coffee when Kittie called me in urgent need of a lift...
"Can't you walk back?" I said. "It's only about half a kilometer."
"I'm afraid not," said Kittie, "I'm carrying a pair heavy, unwieldy Mannequin buttocks which are obstructing my field of vision!"
She had only gone out to get some stamps from the Post Office!

Haha love it. My friends got stopped by a policeman for carrying mannequin parts through town for waving fake limbs at people driving past.
Regarding the cats tail someone made me a huge one out of velvet wish I hadn't thrown it away now. Have you tried joke shops for the fish?

Haha yes James there are some funny to downright bizarre requests on here!

Yeah coca-loca I would give making my own skeleton a go but I see it been very messy and looking like a child has made it :S
Awww Sweet I wish you had kept the tail I would have bought it off you! I'll try a joke shop though, good idea

Hmm tail should be fairly easy, basically a tube of fake fur possibly with a a length of wire stitched inside if you want it to hold a shape.
Fish skeleton slightly harder I think I may have seen a basic kit of a fish skeleton on a market stall recently, one of those laser cut plywood things, usually see them on stands with t-rex, houses and cars but I may be wrong about that, easiest way would be to find a suitable image on the internet, have a local copy shop print it out at a reasonable size then stick it to some cardboard and cut it out, it would be flat but from a short distance away it would look ok I think

Cartoon fish skeletons are always quite flat anyway, this could work. If you want a cartoony one, rather than a realistic one (which would be too small and detailed for the audience to see I'd have thought?!) I'll make you one! I love making props! So long as you don't need it in like the next week!? Give me a size & I'll give you a fish skeleton!

Awww thank you cola-loca thanks really kind of you!

My other half says he has a friend who might be able to make me one but I will message you if not.
Thank you for all your help everyone. I now have a cat tail! Shorter than I wanted but fits the purpose.
