Hi there, I also have sensitivity issues and following a recommendation from Fleur du Mal have started using toupee tape. It's cheaper than fashion tape, stronger and is designed for long-term use on the skin so is good if you are allergic to fashion tape.

I make my own pasties and use a leatherette fabric for the base and decorate with fabric,rhinestones, sequins etc. I have used cheap 'disposable' ones, but actually if you look after your pasties you should get plenty of wear out of them. Make sure you remove all the tape within a day or two of the show (don't leave it too long or the adhesive can go all gooey and hard to remove) and store them in a little bag or box to keep them clean and protected.
