I'm also a professional belly dancer, but here in the states you have to be SO careful about using any belly dance moves in routines. We have a horrific belly dance police squad here in DC. It's pretty ridiculous.

Default can't believe it hasn't got more recommendations

ZUMBAAAAAAAAA....I am new to burlesque and currently putting together my first show in Spain [for which on a different note I am looking for guest performers] but I have been a dancer and performer since the age of six, now 27 I also teach zumba. I have tried just about every workout and fitness regime out there but never been as fit, toned and felt better than with zumba, hence the reason I became an instructor. I recommend trying more than one class to make sure you get a good instructor and if you do you will fall in love and NOT look back I assure you that. Zumba works all the body in every routine not to mention ladies that learning how to shake that booty, shimmy and grind never hurt any burlesque performer ! You will learn great dance routines too rather than dreading the workout you look forward to it..You can't go wrong

power plates? I tried a few sessions and I actually really noticed a difference. Plus, each session is 20 mins and you can just do exercises for areas you would like to concentrate on
