    Default Bad Hair Day!

I need some help in the hair department...Its long and blonde (and the roots will be too after the weekend!)

I've always been lazy with my hair and I think I need to put some effort into style but dont know where to start. All I ever do is curl it or straighten it and everyone in burlesque has fabulous hair...how do I make all those lovely styles? Can I take lessons...im just so rubbish!!!

I'd totally recommend a workshop, especially with the lovely Anna Fur Laxis. I used to be a hair stylist & still learnt some fab new tricks! Also make the most of accessories - flowers, hats, scarves & 40's snoods add instant glamour. Search for images of styles that suit your personality & ask your regular stylist to try it or find a tutorial online. Remember to take lots of photos of you looking most fabulous so you can see what suits you.

Oh and don't forget to make the most of those gorgeous eyes of yours! Lashes, strong eyebrows & red lipstick enhance your features so we won't even notice if it's a bad hair day!

    Have fun! Mimi x

There are lots of easy to follow tutorials on Youtube if you use searches like vintage hair, Dita tutorial, rockabilly tutorial 40s hair 50s hair and so on.

There is also a wonderful book on vintage hair styling by Lauren Rennells. I would highly recommend it. So many performers I have spoken to have the books that Lauren Rennells has done to use as reference. Definately worth purchasing!
