Unhappy How do you prevent 'soupy feet' in your heels?!

I know this is not a pleasant topic but seriously, are there any tricks to prevent your feet from feeling wet inside your heels?

This drives me nuts, and it doesn't matter how expensive the shoes are! I tried gel inserts but its not working...and the fabric inserts just don't give me enough support.

    Any ideas?

    Default 'Soupy feet'

Try leather insoles, they absorb moisture while providing some ventilation for your feet, unlike synthetic insoles and cotton/wool insoles which usually have a synthetic lining/foam backing.

Also, try to keep your feet as cool and dry as possible before a performance - not always practical but does help.

If you wear high heels for your performances try swapping from one pair to another directly before you go on stage - you'll be ready and used to walking in heels but the pair you go on stage in will be nice and dry.

    Hope that helps.

The one trick I use for so many different functions is...
    Hairspray!

I use it not just for my hair, but to set my make-up and stop it sliding down my face, to seal body glitter on, and also on my feet for grip!
Although I usually use it on my feet when performing bare foot for extra grip on the floor, it may help with you for what you are looking for.
I also use it on the soles of my shoes for grip too!

Behold! The magical powers of hairspray!!

This worked like a charm! Thank you!
I had to spray them a few times throughout the show, but it worked well. I also shared the tip with all my other burly gals.

One more thing i did, i stuffed the toes of my shoes with a bit of lambs wool. You can buy it at ballerina shops...and it helped take the pressure off my feet.

    All the best, xo

I once heard a little hairspray tip involving car licence plates and speed cameras, but I couldn't possibly repeat it here... ;-)
