Essentially it's just brushed out curls, literally pin curl your hair flat to your head and then brush out gently. Make sure you curl your hair in the direction you'd like it to go and don't be afraid to brush out the ringlets when your curls have set. Her style is quite wavy and fluffy. It'd be best to wet set your hair so wash your hair, apply some setting lotion and then pin curl it. Put a hair net on and sleep on it. hope that helps x

Evening,
I have afro hair, which is very fine, delicate and lots of it. Afro doesn't like touch, so using rollers/straighteners, once a week is de rigeur. I would like to have a vintage style. I can put a weave in to protect my hair as a start but then, what? Any ideas would be helpful (btw - I'm wearing a wig in my avatar).

Oops - in my post, it should say Afro hair doesn't like heat NOT touch. Lol!

i have worked with afro hair before and my god do i love it! requires no back combing at all no roller setting its perfect! i would suggest at least one days worth of "dirt" to make it easier to style your hair and its literally just brushing in the correct way in order to achieve the style you're looking for! what kind of vintage suits you? or what do you want to try let me know and i'll do my best to help out!
