Can I join please?
My hair is very fine and thin and I always use hair extensions to add some glamour. But I'd like to know how can I create something cute and sexy with my bob.
Thank you.

missjennie- It reallly depends on how thin your hair actually is? If it's super thin and really really fine the best things I can suggest are: thickening products, they do really work if you invest in some good ones. In my experience bumble and bumble thickening products are fab and so is Tigi bedhead blowdry lotion! This helps give some fullness to the hair you already have. The next thing that helps is backcombing, rather than back combing it until its fuzzy do so to give it some fullness and smooth over exposed edges gently! That always gives some oomph! If you wanted to try a style such as 40's rolls I'd perhaps suggest a halo extension! the easiest extensions in the frikin world! I cant post a link yet so google halo hair extensions and you can see. This will help you get some natural looking thickness and makes up for anybody who has ultra thin hair. If you do use this kind of extension you can pretty much try anything you like. The best thing about this particular extension is that it isn't clip in and so doesn't tug or slip on thin hair, also its really easy to wear and blend with your own hair. For perfect rolls try back combing sections of hair, smoothing over the exposed edges and then rolling up as tightly or as loosely as you like, secure with a grip or two and pin the back of the roll closed with some fine hair pins. Just play with it have fun see what works for you and if all else fails Youtube is the holy grail of tutorials and ideas!

Avdotia Matrio$ka- Of course! There's some really cute styles you can try with your bob! If you hark back to the 20's and 30's the bob was THE hair style to have. Back then it was all about the waves and pin curls. To try a 20's/30's style you will need to get hold of some waver clips, usually about £5 from sallys or an online supplier. There are essentially two ways to get a flapper girl style the traditional way involves wet pin curling and the more modern way of using a curling iron which in my opinion doesnt create the best looking result. To achieve silver screen waves section off a thin layer of hair on one side of your parting (starting at the top of your head and working down) divide the thin layer into smallish sections and then pin curl them flat to your head all in the same direction, you should end up with a row of neat pin curls that are flat and all curled in the same direction. Repeat the process but change the direction of the next row and so on so:
(((((((
)))))))
After they have dried brush them out and then gently shape the waves in with a comb follwing the direction you curled each layer. As you shape each wave use the waver clips to clip the crest of the wave to make a neat line! et voila! it takes practice, keep those pin curls neat and tight and make sure your ends are properly tucked into the curl.
Alternatively you could go for the 60's style and back comb, back comb, back comb! smooth it all over and shape it until you are happy with your style. Even using some heated rollers will give it a bit of an OOMPH! don't be to heavy handed, take your time and you'll look fabulous!xX Pincurls Xx

Hiya Pincurls
Do you teach workshops on hair styling at all? I'm looking for people to hold workshops and/or do styling sessions at BurlyCamp in May. If this might be of interest, let me know
