Help!! Present advice for pin up girly
It's my mates birthday soon, shes a rockabilly, psychobilly, pin up kinda girl, and I want to get her something she'll really like for her birthday, but I can't think of anything orignal to get. Any ideas? I've got general ones like hair stuff, things like that, but I'd rather get her something thats a bit different and she'd really like.

I think there was a thread similar to this: burlesque basket I think. Maybe you can search for it and get a few ideas there

If she's into the rockabilly/psychobilly scene, have you thought about a sailor jerry inspired handbag or compact, or some of the Bettie Page stuff you can get?
Here's some suppliers I know of, though I can't vouch for whether they're any good yet as I haven't used them yet (You could always get an idea and check it out on ebay where you can check feedback):
Sailor's Dream xo - tattoo inspired clothing and accessories
Cherry Bomb Designs - retro inspired (50's/rockabilly etc) handbags etc
VS2 Alternative ebay store - currently selling 77 handbags including ones with Vince Ray, Bettie Page and Sailor Jerry designs
or seeing you're in Brum - have you checked out the Oasis Centre on Corporation Street? You're sure to find something on one of the many stalls there
Good luckThe Russian Doll Lass - like Shrek's onion, but with sequins...

What about getting her a vintage themed photoshoot? There are brilliant photographers out there who will provide location, sometimes even mua and she'd be left with a cd of images of herself as a 40s or 50s pin up star.

Go to Model Mayhem (ModelMayhem.com) and you can check out photographers in the area or post a casting call for someone in particular. I know absolutely amazing photographers but i'm afraid they're all North of the border, honey.

thanks for all the great tips, I picked up little bits and pieces today to go towards a gift basket, but I like the idea of the pin up book. I'm thinking about making a gift basket of it all or something. I shall keep you informed!
Also how much does everyone want that photoshoot thing, I think i'd have to have a couple of southern comforts to get the guts to do it though.
