Last night's customising project...
Take one eBay bought Kylie Minogue t-shirt...

Attack it with:
- scissors
- needle and thread
- ribbon
- a selection of swarovski crystals
- a hot-fix applicator
- 2 hours of spare time
...and taadaaa!!

Has any one else completed any fun customising projects recently?WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Fantastic!!!!! I find making things from scratch easier to be honest, I never quite get it right when I customize things - this is probably my best effort

I found gloves so fiddly to sew and fit that I worked out how to crocet them so they look like fishnet, they stretch so fit better.
This evening I'm making another felt top hat after I taught myself how to block felt. Only prob is I keep making things and have nothing to do with them. I'd like there to be some sort of burlesque craft market.
Love the t-shirt looks much better then the original

It's taken me slightly longer than a night, but been lot's of fun.
-One battered, slightly stained handbag but made from wannabe Alexander Henry type material from a Relate charity shop - £2
-One pot of red sequins - £2.45
-One shiny red and black rockabilly-type handbag to be worn on TD's arm at the Candy Box on Sunday - priceless

I feel so ashamed.
I've been knitting a pair of socks for nearly 11 months....and I've not even finished the first one yet.
I hereby resolve to finish my knitting so that I can get on with making darling little bags like Tempest and creating fantastic customised outfits like the rest of you.
That bag is really super - you'll look a million dollars! Mind and take pix so that we can see the full effect :-)
