Fairy tale costume-but still burlesquey
Hello! Does anyone have any ideas for a costume for a party I'm going to? It's fairy tale themed, but I don't want to boring and go for something done! I want to keep a burlesquey theme as in corset, lovely cleavage (yay boobs!) and kind of a 40s theme. But fairy tale. Does that make sense? I thought maybe Snow white 40s style. Hmmmmmm......

The outfit Tinkerbell wears, put on a real person with an ample bosom and great pins, would look great:

I do various fairy style costumes - I've attached a few photos (which aren't great I'm afraid) some are of steel boned corsets and some and bustiers, however, I could make them up in steel boned if you prefer - if you're interested PM me.

Wow those costumes are amazing!
i love arthur Rackhams drawings. He drew some great Alice in Wonderland pictures which Ive used(and happily sold)in my jewellery.
Could you try somethng more sinister Miss Luna?
When choosing my jewellery site name(Poisoned Apple) I noticed alot of people were going for fairy tale inspired names which is lovely but i wanted somenthing darker.
Could you go as the wicked queen? Or a raggedy Cinderella?

The best costume I saw at a recent fancy dress night was the Princess from Shrek!

Thanks guys! I've decided to go as Snow Whites evil step mother! I'm going to make a corset, which is ambitious of me as it will be my first one, and when I sew I rarely follow a pattern! But I will definietly follow this one. I'm going to take a basket of apples which will be stuffed with different fillings. Some will be nice fillings....eg candy, chocolate, caramel, fruit etc, and some will be with gross fillings (the posion apples!) eg pickles, mustard, onions, olives etc. Mwa ha ha ha ha ha.
I'll have to post pics up of my progress!

Make sure you post piccies!!
Maybe you could sprinkle/glue fine glitter to some real apples so they look all evil but sparkly.
