Could anyone so kindly help me with my hair?
Hello there everyone,
Im pretty new to the performance side of burlesque but have been interested for a couple of years now.
I have a lot of clothes/accessories now to make a good set of portfolio pictures but need some suggestions for hair styles. My hair is quite thin and just above shoulder length.
Shall i grow it to be more versatile?
Or a 1940s Bob?
Do rollers work on thin hair?
If anyone could give me some advice it would really help!
Thankyou

A quick search on YouTube for hair tutorials should provide some inspiration. Search "holliwood hair tutorial" or "pin-up girl hair tutorial". I think there's also a good one up there for "reverse rolls"
I hope that helps! x

Hi
I'm in the same boat, I've got short bobbed hair, to roughly an inch below my jaw, but I cannot find any good styles for that length of hair. Have tried YouTube but keep getting tutorials for girls with long hair.
Would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions?
Thanks! x

I've tried finger waves with little success, but not kiss curls? I'll YouTube them now!
Thanks! xx

You can do victory rolls still on short hair - there's a tutorial somewhere on youtube called quick victory rolls or something like that, and the girl has shoulder length blonde hair.
I've just had my hair cut to just about shoulder length (feels really short to me!) and I have no trouble still rolling my hair or curling it how I like it
I love messing around with my hair - it's the best way to spend a rainy afternoon

Thanks, I'll try that too!!
Thanks ladies, you are all very nice and helpful, I've been on forums before where they are all bitchy and horrible to you for asking a question. Seems if you aren't born knowing it then you shouldn't ask!
Thanks! I feel welcome already xx

Unfortunately a lot of fora are like that. Here at MoB it's very friendly though which is fantastic. Feel free to ask any questions you may have

I think the Youtube tutorial Dani mentioned is the "vintage hair in under five minutes" one.Snowflakes and Sparkles
