    Default I am seriously impressed!

OK, so this might not be life and death but I have managed to wear dark red nail varnish for three days now without having to re-do it. No chips or scratches or peeling or anything!!!!
The reason iIm so impressed is that I'm usually rubbish with nail polish because I'm always washing up, cleaning, making props, building sets and lots of other hand intensive activities.
I used No 7 Stay Perfect in 'temptress'. Applied undercoat, two layers and top coat and it still looks fabulous.
Well, that''s one battle won. now all i have to do is perfect liquid eyeliner flicks and find a way to stop rep lippie ending up all over the bottom half of my face!
    X:excited:

I always thought Lipcote was one of those things that makes so many promises, it can't possibly be true!!
Does it not dry out your lips though?

Here's a tip for the flicks - give up trying to do them and say you prefer the 1940s look! Heheh ... I never managed to do flicks so that's the excuse I give! Flicks are a 1950s look ^_^

Pull your eyelid taut and draw a line towards the end of your eyebrow. When you let go of your eyelid, the flick should look pretty good

    Thanks girls.
I think my main problem is that I have a lot of 'laughter lines' . I've always had them and can only assume they'll get worse! It's hard to work out which crease to follow when doing flicks!
I think I might stick to the 1940's look :-)

Rock climbing and guitar destroy my nail varnish frequently.

Lipcote's pretty good actually, with your eyeliner if you struggle to do it at first try drawing from the outside in rather than the inside out. It's sometimes a little easier to control while you get used to doing it xx

The best thing I've found for mischievous lippy is Benefit's D'finer D'liner - it's a clear lip liner that really keeps lipstick where you want it.

For the eyeliner thing I tend to rest the heel of my hand on my cheek to hold it steady and then just build it up bit by bit. I find the ones with thin brushes easier but lots of people find that the ones more like felt-tipped pens work better - rimmel do a good cheap one that isn't too flaky.

I use collection 2000 liner, its fab! make sure u wipe the tip on the edge of the bottle tho or theres too much on the nib. and when u think its running out, its not! just put a tiny dot of water in and shake and it lasts aaaages!

But i have red lippy trouble too as i like the slightly glossy look as it makes my lips look fuller and less dry. but it ends up running in the lines of my skin. i dont even have wrinkles!! grrr

    love and hugs:hug:

Do you use lipliner? It can help to stop the bleed.
I tend to use Too Faced's transparent lipliner around the outside of my lipline to stop my lipstick from running x
