I am going to recommend the place I always do- Beyond Retro in London. I went in yesterday and they had some great tasseled dresses 1920s style.

They really should pay me for all this raving I give them

If you are near or in London there is a shop (name escapes me) that sells all sorts of womens vintage clothes and accessories. Failing that try Party Dresses | Celebrity Styles | Summer Dresses | Evening Dresses - I just googled it! or there is one on ebay (That isn't a fancy dress one!) Ohhh just seen one for £322 so forget that!

I got a gorgeous 20s style sequin and bead dress from H&M a few years ago, I'm not sure it's right for the season but don't give up on the high street just yet! Dropped waists are usually a bit more popular in the winter, I'll let you know if I see anything xx

Ooh OR (silly me, I forgot this!) you could do what my mum did for me when I went to a party as a flapper girl:

She got out one of her old silky nightie/slip things and sewed tassels onto the bottom in three layers, and a layer just below the bust. It looked fantastic!

    Really simple and effective.
