Default To piece or not to piece. That is the question.

My hair comes down to the middle of my shoulder blades, when I dress up 50's style I like to wear a hair piece that is the classic pony tail, it creates the imression of the fifties. I was wondering, hair experts, do you think that a hair piece would create a more 'fuller' appearance when I go for a snood & the forties look. Up to now I have only rolled my own hair into a snood. I am worried that a hair piece could come adrift, anybody got any thoughts or ideas?
Here's what I want to achieve.

Aha, I do this aswell (although sadly it doesn't match since my accidental hair dying!) It does work with a snood and stays quite well, need a touch of hairspray but in my experience it works just aswell as my real hair and does give it that little extra thickness, good luck! xxx

I would definately go for a piece - clip it in and then before you put your snood on put a hair net of the whole lot to secure it, then put a snood over - you really are a Witch and a half lady, I've just had some beautiful snoods made from an authentic 40's pattern (knitted by Nanas for extra lovelyness!!) which I'm adding to my website today - the listing is already there, just have to add photos - they should be up and ready this afternoon!!!

    Default snoods

I make snoods from a couple of original 1940's patterns too. I sell them on my Etsy shop which is called Ginpoodle I am starting to make other 1940's inspired accessories too so if anyone is interested I'll let you know if they turn out well enough to list!
