Burlesque - the hair cut
Tis true - you now can get 'burlesque' the haircut

Not to be confused with that other trendy new style 'the bandwagon'
Here's more info. and a pic of the haircut
Please, if you are in a grumpy mood, DO NOT read the latest description of how burlesque originated...
(I know, I'm a bad bad girl)

oo that haicut looks great on the model but my face shape def wouldn't suit it! plus i reckon it would be pretty restrictive, tho i suppose you could get a marcel wave in it which would look very retro. Great if you've got dead straight hair, which unfortunately i haven't. Poo!

Excellent I can now tell my mum she has the hairstyle of a high class German prostitute
. Though I don't think I shall also tell her that her edges don't shimmer enough, no woman wants to hear that.

As would I have if it hadn't grown out a little and I could remember to straighten it more often (my bad but straightening is a real hassle and I don't like doing it too often as my hair feels like straw afterwards).
As for the prostitution thing
:wallbash:, but in the end can only !

I look hideous with a bob - my hair's too straight so it doesn't have any bounce to it ...
Prostitution eh? Now there's an abscure bit of etymology - how does that lead to the origin of the word burlesque?

I think I'll invent the 'Burly Bridie' and sell it to Greggs as a whole new concept for them... "you've got the haircut, now eat the Bridie!"
Do you think it'll catch on?

Oh, I am so sorry! I forgot that Bridies are a Scottish delicacy. I think they come from Forfar originally, but you get them in Greggs all over Scotland - it's a kind of meat pastie. I once asked one of the ladies serving in the bakers to tell me what's actually in a Bridie. She shrugged her shoulders and said: "Bridie meat".
Probably best not to ask anyway...

Ah I see, thank you. No, you probably don't need to know the specifics by the sounds of it, you might never want to eat again!
On the Scottish food theme I vote for a Burlesque version of Tunnocks Tea cakes
