I use a fabby lipstick from Boots 17 range (so not too pricey). It is 'Boots 17 lasting fix lipstick'. I use pink power & showbiz ( a red) and they REALLY do last all day. Great vaue for money.

Let me know how you get on with it. They do 2 shades of red, showbiz (darker) and showtime (more orangey red I think). I wear the pink power shade most often. Doesn't require touching up all day at work........and beyond. Well worth the money. I'm not a fan of Boots number 7 stuff either.

Also, give the inside and outside of the glass (just the bit where youre drinking from) a lick before you drink... it takes practise to do it subtly (also, make sure you don't accidentally catch any men's eyes whilst you're doing it!), but it really does help stop your lipstick from coming off.

I know it sounds obvious, but blotting your lipstick after you've put it on really helps. I use a gorgeous Lancome lipstick that is very well behaved after blotting

Has anyone else ever got lipstick on one side of their wine glass and then drunk from the other side only to get lipstick on the bridge of their nose?ops:

I'm terrible for putting hair clips, pens etc in my mouth (not enough hands!!!!!!) then get lipstick EVERYWHERE. If I put a pen in my mouth, lipstick gets on my fingers, I touch my face et voila.........total idiot!!!!!!!! I also agree with blotting lipstick as it works for me.

my friend was getting her makeup done professionally and i asked the makeup artist for tips and she told me to make sure i put some foundation or concealer on my lips to act as a base and it also makes the colour look more like it does in the tube too! then out line your lips, use a brush to apply a thin but even coat of lipstick blot, dab slight touch of transluscent powder on and then apply another coat of lipstick followed by some lipcote and this should keep it looking good for hours.

i have never actually tried it though because, i am always in a mad panic when i get ready and don't normally have 5 minutes just for lippy lol!
