Default Anyone got a pattern for big ol suspender belts?

I really want to start making my own cause i can just never find what i want, but I just cant find a pattern, and i really dont want to dismantle one of mine to make a pattern from it.

Anyone know of where to get a pattern for one from (I've already tried ebay and vena cava)

    regards

Could you not try using one of yours as a pattern without dismantling it?. If you trace round each bit and add a seam allowance would that not work? I found a site where someone had made what she described as an apron garter belt using a 40s one as a template and that looked as if it hadn't been dismantled. Unfortunately she was making them to sell rather than sharing or selling the actual pattern. I've got a pattern cutting book for lingerie at home I'lll have a quick shufty if theres anything in there later

The only thing in my pattern cutting book is a waspie with suspenders, which if I've got the right idea is a similar shape to what you are after (though I think the shape will be however you decide to draw it). From a quick glance it works on the same principle as making a corset pattern and I think it uses the basic bodice block (sloper). If you want to have a go I'll scan the page for you.
