Thread: Frilly knickers?

Can anyone help me on this one, I'm looking for a pair of satin/ stretchy pants like the ones in Mika's 'Big Girls' video- extremely ruffly and opaque satin.

I've found some similar to the design I'd like on the weareallcourtesans website but I'm not paying £65 for a pair of pants!

I've had a look on Ebay but they all seem to be a stretch net affair and I'm wanting some that are maybe a lycra base with satin ruffles?

Anyone on here able to recommend somewhere to buy them from or if I send measurements would someone be able to make them? Preferably black base with cherry satin (I've got the fabric) ruffles.

I'm sure Ophelia Bitz (the video's leading lady) could point you in the direction of the specific costume designer for that video.

I nearly blew £200 on undies the other day, but eventually concluded that the business account couldn't cope with it, and opted for customising cheap pieces instead. Not ideal, but better than off-the-rack. x

You'll have to bear with me a bit here..this is all new to me, but I was noseying around in the fashion forum and noticed this posting by you back in november I think it was....anyway..to the point...

Have your needs been met for the frilly undies?..("knickers" I believe you call them there in the UK)..here in Alaska we just wear long johns...or long janes..depending upon WEATHER the crotch is designed for warmth or for convenience. I envy males when its -40 degrees....anyway..to the point...

I have been involved in costume design and assembly for many years and have a few ideas on rather inexpensive ways of making what you describe. I havent seen the video you refer to, Anna but I think that from your description of the lingerie that I understand what you desire.

I have a black pair exactly like the ones you described. They're £12 in Ann Summers. They're called Dita brief and come with detachable suspenders. I love them, and I think they might be what you're looking for

Thanks but they're see though! I want some that are extremely frilly and preferably satin. I've bought some from Miss Minky on Ebay but they're also rather see through, the frillier the better!
