    Default Storing corsets

    At the mo all my corsets are in there little bags at the bottom of my wardrobe. Felling that they deserve so much more, i want to get some pretty boxes to put them in - hence my question...

    Anyone know where i can get such a box!!?

    You could always decorate a storage box from somewhere like Ikea or John Lewis with pictures either from shows or vintage images. Always store clothing away in acid free tissue paper, which most places sell now. Prevents the fabric rotting away over time! I would also put in a ceder block or maybe a lavender bag to make it smell pretty each time you take it out.

    Hi Pinky! Thats a great idea! Everything is popped into tissue paper - im always carefullwith how i store my "babies" but its a great tip for others who wernt aware!

    You can buy clear lidded clothing storage boxes from most storage supply websites, so you can still protect the corsets but have them on display at the same time.

    I've always been told they should be hung sideways from bones across the laces so as not to bend or damage the boning But not over a metal hanger in case of rusting. I use the clip hangers, but I expect the ones with bars across the bottom would be just as good.

    When I had a shoot with a corsetiere all hers were hung on a rack that way
