What to wear to a burlesque show as a spectator
Evening all,
This might be a very silly question but I'm going to see Dita in Paris next week and being a burlesque virgin I had no idea what to wear to the event. Do punters at shows tend to dress up to match the performers or is more casual wear required? I have a number of vintage outfits and wondered if those would be suitable?
Many thanks in anticipation of your help,

uhhh i think, my opinion being based on what i would wear, would be to invest in a black pencil skirt, silk looks the nicest, if you havent already got one.
A corset and a nice suit kind of jacket never go a miss either
dont forget yours heels and pretty but casual make up
hope i help at least a little

The corset I have but not the pencil skirt. Looks like I'll have to go shopping.

Glamour is best especially if your seeing Dita in Paris (i am very jealous) i would normally wear one of my many corsets with a nice pencil skirt and fascinator, and prob some elbow length gloves and seamed nylon stockings

Where is she performing in Paris?

The crazy horse...I tried to go to celebrate my birthday but alas I don't have enough pennies........ I'm soooooo jealous but really hope that you have a good time!
PS. Glamourous/smart/sexy...but don't dress in something your uncomfortable in, your there to watch and have a good time not to be thinking of how you look in your outfit all the time (there's nothing worse!)

My boyfriend is taking me and is now the envy of all his mates that he was able to buy tickets to see a stripper for his girlfriend as a Christmas present!
I have a few pairs of long gloves I can dig out. I think I'll have to have a bit of a fashion show tomorrow.

How wonderful you're going to see Dita @ the Crazy Horse!!
Definitely dress up...why not!? It's fun!
I also would recommend a pencil skirt w/ a corset or a nice fitted button-up blouse...stockings...a hat...gloves...the whole nine! A vintage outfit you may have would be beautiful as well!!
