    Default Shoe polish

    Hi!

I was looking for some black shoe polish for my boots* - one shop that sold shoes directed me to another, who pointed me to a shoe repair shop, who were shut by the time I got to them D:

I know they might have some polish in when I get back to town next week, but in case they don't either, can anyone suggest some other shops/kinds of shops that might sell it? Thanks!

    Amy.

*they're quite nice, but oh how I wish the square-toes-and-chunky-heeled knee boots from the late 90s would come back into fashion!

I understand that in this day of trainers and general grunge etc, but most supermarkets sell a variety of colours of polish, it's just often hard to find at first. Our local Tescos for example (two of them), have their shoe care products - laces, brushes & polish on an end-of-aisle section facing the checkouts. You will quite possibly have success in some of the manifold Pound outlets up and down the country also.

    All the best.

Supermarkets always sell lots of shoe-care products. As the good doctor says, they are usually on the end of an aisle in a completely unrelated area to where you would expect so best to ask staff. Timpsons also sell shoe-care products.

From 5yrs working in a shoe shop and fitting kids shoes, for the love of GOD don't buy kiwi!

Really dries the leather out, if it's to put teh colour back in go for a cream rather than a polish or just to give them a general going over a silicone wax. jones boot maker wax is great or the woly cream where you can find it.
