Thread: Staves?

I had a wee search on the threads for this but I couldn't find the answers I'm looking for.

I have bought acrylic staves in the past from Ostrich.com and added my own feathers and what not coz I like making stuff but for feather fans I find them a bit bulky. To be honest every time I see someone with bamboo staves I get feather-fan-envy (it's a proper condition.....really!).

I know a lot of people on here are very crafty and sell fans and what not, but does anyone sell just the wooden staves so I can do the fun bit myself? Or if anyone is willing to share their making method (if its relatively straightforward for a techy minded girl) that would be grand. I can totally understand if that's a bit cheeky coz by the looks of things there is no one way of doing it and people probably have their own tried and tested methods.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm dying for an excuse to buy more lovely feathers from my wee ebay lady.
