    Sorry to ask what is quite possibly a daft question but does anyone know where I can get a 1950/40 style day suit?

    Do you need them for any specific date? I don't know the actual shop name (so not much help I'm afraid) but I do know there are a couple of ladies on eBay who custom make outifts like 40s suits, to your measurements and in the colour you'd like. So it might take some trawling but they're definitely out there ^_^
