Thread: More outfit help please folks..stockings??

I'm off to the Tease Show in May and taking my wonderful other half as his bday pressie...
I'm going to be wearing my hot pink VOH dress with black petticoat and hot pink shoes....however, do i go for stockings and suspenders (so as to provide an after show treat for the mister at the hotel) or bare legs??
If the stockings option.....where can i get "chunky monkey" thigh stockings and a suspender belt that will fit.
I'm 5 foot 7 and about a size 20.

ooooh sounds lovely! my favourite place for stockings that fit my ridiculous thighs is stockings hq... cant post the url but its just stockingshq dot com

they have just revamped their website (which means unfortunately you cant click right into the plus size category any more grr) but the cervin, gio and gerbe stockings go right up to xxxxl, which is a god send!

Suspender belts wise Kiss Me Deadly do gorgeous suspender belts and their XL is a 18-20. I've found that size wise with their suspender belts I'm fine in a size that is technically a little small for me. La Magia sell them Kiss Me Deadly - La Magia

I think that dress would look great with stockings. If theyre the same shoes you wore last time make sure you don't have to do a lot of walking lol

Noooooo going for different shoes this time!!!

These are going to be peep toe, which also begs the question, stockings with peep toe shoes….yes or no???

I think stocking look fine with peep toes as long as they are the ones that haven't got the thicker bit over the toes (and preferably flesh coloured). I think fishnets with peeptoes look OK too. But thats just my personal opinion, sorry to offend anyone who wears dark thick toed stockings, each to their own.

Easy one that. Most people will say "No" to reinforced toes, so therefore look for "Sandal Toe" or "Invisible Toe". If you call the supplier, they'll happily make recommendations based on experience since some manufacturers have differing ideas of what "Invisible" is.

I'd agree with Stockings HQ as having by far the best range of stockings and cracking customer service.

Beware French brands. They tend to run small and short. Falke are well sized, by far my favourite for regular stockings. Other than that I go for the fully fashioneds. Gio are usually good for length.

As for with peep-toes. Well in the 50s they wore peep toes with stockings and if it was good enough for Marilyn and co.... I wear them with either fishnets or full-fashioned seams. I hate going out with bare legs anyway.
