Sunscreen
I missed out on the free sk:n sunscreen and they have all gone and i was hoping someone could recommend a good sunscreen/block.
I used the Avon factor 50 today, and for me personally, it was really thick, didn't sink in very easily and transfered onto my clothes all day, although it smells yummy.
I am looking for some thing more fluid, that helps me keep my pale skin, that i can also use on my face, that doesn't smell like a science lab, and that isn't really expensive would be great to.
Thanks for looking.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

ohohoh!
I bought one this weekend which I used on sat and roasted myself for a couple of hours and no pink what so ever! Was a factor 50+ L'Oreal Solar Expertise : Read reviews and compare prices at Ciao.co.uk this one in fact!
L'oreal solar expertise. It's on half price at tesco at the min, so not as bad. It looks a bit thick to start with but it absorbs quickly, the lid is a bit daft though, but you can take it off.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Boots Soltan is fabulous. I started using it a few years ago and have been lucky not to burn since (except on the bits I missed - so that's my fault). Mymother's advice to not go out between the hours of 12 and 3 when the sun is at its highest has also served me well. It's also cruelty-free - both to animals and humans, unllike some of the others.
Twirly, whirly, sparkly, Oooh!

Any of the Piz Buin range, I've a very sensitive skin and have to be carefull what I smear on it. The Piz Buin doesn't leave your skin greasy either. The factor is important too don't buy anything less than a 15, and don't be fooled in thinking you won't tan with a cream thats a 50 it just takes a little longer but you won't burn.

I use childrens suncream mainly because if I'm in the sun for more than 10minutes I'll come home crispy so need a high factor and also because they normally dry super quickly 'cos children figit. You can also get one that goes on green so that you can see which bits you've got and which bits you've missed and dries clear

Nivea moisturising sun spray, factors 30 & 50. Nice and light, sinks in well and not greasy at all. Smells fresh and won't stain your clothes. About £11 I think but it's BOGOF in Boots and Superdrug at the mo.

I've got a cut out from Reveal magAzine from 'Martine's Beauty Secrets' and she reccomends 'Simple Sun Sensitive Protecting Facial Hydralotion SPF 50'. I know it's a face cream but it could be worth a shot for facial protection from the sun (I personally burn on my face the most). It's £10.
I might have to invest in some for the summer.
When I was younger, I used to use NoAd sunscreen and it was brilliant.

Hope this helps,

I recommend "the sun mouse" it used to be called proderm. It's fantastic, doesn't let any sun through, and disolves into the skin so you don't feel sticky or greasy. (This was first recommended to me by my dermatologist)
The only place I've found to buy it tho is online - you can google it, I buy it from sun protection, sun protective clothing by Sun-Togs
