    Default Hotfix Crystals

Ok the search is frying my brain so I thought I'd just come out and ask, where do you ladies (and gents of course!) recommend for good hotfix crystals? I have a huge amount to buy and am not the most patient of people so dont want to have to wait an age for them to arrive either lol I'm dying to get cracking on my new costume!

    thanks in advance

I've used Welcome to Beads and Crystals in the past. They were pretty fast.

thanks ladies is it worth shelling out the extra for the swarovski/preciosa type crystals? I really want light peach but have had some nice results with ordinary crystals in the past

I've mostly used this ebay shop. They are super fast - usually deliver the next day, prices are competitive, and you have a choice of swarovski/preciosa or cheaper brands. Personally I think you can tell a difference with the more expensive crystals, but I rarely use them as the price is so much higher and I suspect most people wouldn't notice the difference unless they were comparing the two crystals side by side.

There are 2 ebay shops that I like. The first one is good value and sells smaller packs and seem to be slightly better quality than the second. The second one is really cheap for buying in bulk but I don't think the quality is as good and I've noticed a few that were misshaped, but a few out of 10gross is pretty good for the price. Both tend to send out really quickly and customer service is good from both. However I have had problems with the second one when ordering more than 1 pack to be delivered together. sometimes the post office thinks that the package is too heavy for the amount of stamps and that has held up delivery. However when I emailed they sent replacements straight away, as I said customer service is really good.

If you're in a rush to finish a costume, there's a brilliant shop in soho called omygod, similar prices to the first link that you posted but the quantity is 133 per pack for the ss10's.

I was just having a look at the ebay shop and was wondering, what size crystals would be good to use, say for a pair of shoes for instance? I've been using some, probably 4 mil which are too big as I can't get them close enough together. xxx
