Default Getting rid of tan lines, fast!

help! despite putting on tons of sun cream, i managed to end up with tan lines, around where my vest top was, now i have browned shoulders and a white back!!! i hate having tans, but i hate more having tan lines! im wearing a corset in a couple of weeks, is there anything i can do to get rid of them? i hate fake tan, but for this one occasion i might have to use it. is the only way to even them out to get an all over tan? i miss my milky white skin already(well, i still have patches of it lol!)

If you want a really quick fix that washes off try rimmel sunshimmer (I think thats what its called). This is like makeup you could put it on your white bits and blend it in. I used it when I got married and I don't remember it coming off onto my clothes (I wouldn't put it under anything tight though because it probably would transfer then). It stayed put all day and night and came off easily in the shower.

If you want something not so instant try using tan towels or the garnier spray tan (you do run teh risk of this being patchy though if you're not used to applying it.

    Good luck

I use l'oreal summer body moisturiser, you put it on before bed and it develops over night, I use the light one for blending and find it quite good, it soaks in so it doesn't come off on your clothes but if you give yourself a good scrub in the bath/shower it comes off quickly enough! It also isn't bright orange!! Usually I find them a bit shiny etc but this ones pretty good! xxx

    Default consistent, gentle, exfoliation

If you have several weeks, depending on how tan you got, this may help return you to your original shade.

DON'T DO THIS DIRECTLY AFTER A SUNBURN OR TAN! you will irritate your skin! wait at least 5 days.

Use a gentle combo of chemical and mechanical exfoliation. I prefer Zaparellas Bionic Blast by Benefit. It has tiny exfoliating beads and salicylic acid, which helps cellular turnover (and will help clear any body acne, too!). If you can't find this, combine Avedas Tourmaline charged exfoliating cleanser with Avedas Liquid Exfoliant.

Do this 2-3 times a week, and use lots of UVA/UVB suncreen, at LEAST SPF30, and reapply after 3 hours in the sun. This is why i love spray sunblock, especially banana boat- has the most effective formula i've used.
