Budget fascinators
Dear all,
found these while surfing ebay:-
eBay Seller: koolcoaster: Clothes, Shoes Accessories, Collectables items on eBay.co.uk
Thought I'd pass it on, cos I'm a nice person. (However the red brocade one's mine. Grrrrr.
)

Wear them shopping at Tesco, or give yourself an excuse to go out. The show on the 14th would be an ideal place to show one off.

Amen! I have to say that theres a masochistic part of me that gets supicious of really good deals like that its always "well thats too good to be true!!" and sadly, when it comes to handmade things like that, its usually correct- Ive tried making fascinators once or twice and I paid more than £5 in materials alone! let alone the fiddly handsewing and loving placement of feathers and veils!
But maybe theyre just clever and know where to get things cheap!
Baby loves a bargain! XD

I know where to get things cheap but my time alone would be worth more than what this person is charging! I think there are a lot of people who do craft for fun so don't care what they make if they are selling stuff. Not only do those of us who design for a living have to compete against the High Street, we also have to compete against this type of maker. Even if she is not making a loss on materials (which wouldn't surprise me), she is absolutely not charging for the time it took to make them. Nothing against the fascinators, they look cute enough and as a starving artist if I needed a fascinator(and couldn't make a nicer one myself :twisted
I would be tempted, but it's already enough of a struggle to make people realise the value of handmade designs.
