I am thinking of uprgading some costumes and was considering using a lot of maribou, but I am wondering how durable it is long term?

I have only ever used maribou on rocky horror costimes before, and the more tatty they look the better! But obviously burlesque costumes need to be kept in good condition and I'm worried about how maribou will hold up to a lot of performances, being packed, cleaning etc.

Does anyone have any experiences to share?
