Thread: Black Country Burlesque gets shocking!

The Black Country Burlesque show is almost upon us....

Performers from across the country will appear on stage at the new and prestigeous 'The Public' building in West Bromwich on 7th November 2009 - show starts at 8pm and tickets are very reasonably priced at £6.

This show has had a lot of media interest, from a well distributed magazine published by The Public (see attached picture) featuring the wonderful Felicia Noir (image taken by Briar @ TipTop Photography Studio) to coverage in the Express & Star, where concerns were raised about such a 'shocking' show coming to town.

The line up for this show is stunning..... something for everyone, glamour, glitz, lots of shimmer and sparkle to magic and music.

Wow...what a day!

Briar and myself have spent all morning at 'The Public' in West Bromwich preparing for our exhibition of burlesque beauties.

We have 20 images in total - 10 from TipTop Photography, 5 from Robin Lowe photography & 5 from Evan Smith.

All images are displayed in the main hall opposite the entrance to 'The Public' - its a perfect spot for people to see the images and to gain an understanding of what burlesque is all about.

Whilst we were hanging images, numerous people came over to Rob and myself asking about the show on Saturday and also about burlesque in general.

Felicia Noir came over to give her seal of approval as she has been the 'face of black country burlesque' for the November show with articles and images being used in the 'whats on' magazine, express and star plus much more.

We saw the Theatre which will be the venue for the show, the stage is amazing, a £100,000 pa system, lots of seating and tables and bar which is very very close by.

A night not to be missed!
