The Visual Culture Society presents a night of decadence, debauchery and dancing with 'The Art of Burlesque'. Celebrating the art, beauty and history of burlesque and cabaret, the evening starts with a market of all manner of curiosities from vintage clothing stores to free retro hairstyling, Ophelia Fancy designer frillies to erotic fiction from leading authors in aid of MacMillan Cancer Awareness. Local artist Fran Duncan will be displaying her paintings while our we shake up some saucy cocktails, then, hosted by the fabulous Miss Fontaine, Burlesque Lifedrawing class begins at 8, followed by performances from our glamorous models, music from Bitter Ruin and The Fascinating Rhythms and dj's 'til late. Bring your friends, dress to impress and enjoy the Art of Burlesque!
