Thread: Burlesque Performances/Venues in Kent

Hi All,

I may sound crazy, but I think there is a distict lack of burlesque performances/venues here in Kent. There are plenty in London and other places but it can be very difficult to get up there to see any of them when they're during the week (as I have a full time job and have to be up early in the morning).
If any of you know of any events going on no matter how big or small, could you please let me know as I want to support the Burlesque Community as much as I can.

Hey,
I also live in Kent and would also be interested if anyone has any recommendations. I generally always go up to London as there is a def lack of anything burlesque in Kent.
I've had a look at the above and have also heard of a venue in Canterbury, but would be interested in anything else that anyone can suggest...

Skinny Pete Promotions website is gone - apparently he isn't running the events any more - which is a shame because they were great. He even used to do Fresh Follies which was a showcase for new talent.

Ivy Paige does events at Dickens World in Rochester.
MuMu Lounge in Maidstone hosts burlesque events now and then.
www.dippersanddunkers.org.uk is an event including burlesque in Margate every year.
The Blue Pigeons at Worth near Sandwich are holding classes and events.
I'm starting classes in Wye, Lympne and Hawkinge in the new year and hope my students might be willing to do an event towards the end of the year (Home - Quizzicool click on burlesque classes).
