    Default Help! What's on in Brighton, 15th - 23rd May 2010?

Hello to any burlesquers in Brighton!

I am Baron Bartholomew Black, compere extraordinaire! I'm based in Glasgow but I'll be in Brighton 15th to 21st May on business for my "real" job (you know, the job that actually pays the bills).

I would love to catch any burley or cabaret events that are on while I'm in the area. I've never even been anywhere near Brighton, so I have no idea what's on. I have friends there who swear it's the true cultural capital of Britain so I intend to put their claims to the test!

I would be most grateful if anyone can suggest venues I should visit or events I should attend during my stay. If I may be so bold, I'd be honoured to do a guest spot if any event organisers could make use of a compere that week.

Either way, I look forward to a front row seat or a few moments in the spotlight and hopefully I'll meet some colourful characters too!

    Cheers!

    B.B.B. xx

Will you be dissappearing at the witching hour like you did at The Old Fruitmarket?

Thank you kindly, Broomy! I hadn't realised the festival coincided with my visit. (Well, I say coincided, but perhaps it's fate...)

I'll be in town for about a week, so I fully intend to have a few late nights! I may need to disappear before the stroke of midnight on some occasions though, especially if it's a school night!

    Cheers
