Thread: North West Burlesque: Equity & Legal speakers

Hi Guys

Sunday 25th North West Burlesque Society (Manchester) has Equity coming to talk to us about the benefits of being in a performers union, and also Marsden Rawsthorn LLP who will talk about dispute resolution, contracts, how to deal with defamation and intellectual property.

This is a particularly important topic so if you know anyone who might benefit from the talks then spread the word. Also there *might* be some kind of cake....

I've been wanting to come to a NWBS meeting for ages, but haven't been able to due to lack of transport (I live in the middle of nowhere. Seriously, nearest train station is 20 miles away) but now I can drive so am able to attend! Oh joy

Having never come along, I was wondering if that's what I do? Do I just show up or do I need to let you know there's an extra person about?

Yay it will be nice to meet you hun! Just turn up, we spend the first hour just mingling and chatting so just come in. Introduce yourself to us on the door so we know who you are, I am the larger one of the three red heads who run it. Its £3 in. You will have to tell me about learning to drive, I am trying and I suck at it!

Oh, the room is downstairs from the main bar, the stairs are at the back of the bar. Ask the bar staff if you are lost, they are nice and will show you x
