Thread: Burlesque Themed photoshoot - Northampton. 27/4/08

I have sorted the models/performers for this event, but a photographer place has come up and I thought I'd see if anyone on MOB was interested too

The plan of the day is as follows;

1.00-2.00pm set-up and say hi!

2.00-6.00pm shooting on a one-to-one basis with up to 7 models of your choice. This will be pre-arranged on a dance card basis so that you will know who you are working with and when before the day and the girls will know who they’re working with too. Modelling levels will also be set down on the cards so no-one will get embarrassing questions/rejections!

6.00-8.00pm will be a break time for some ale/food (the venue has a nice little menu for you). While you’re relaxing and discussing the day so far, the room will be re-organised for a show in the evening and the ladies will be preparing for the show too.

8.00-10.00pm Showtime! We will be having a full-blown burlesque show for both you and the paying public. The only people allowed to take photos of the event will be booked photographers with photopasses. This will give you the opportunity to shoot all the ladies during their performance(s) as well as our debonair compare for the evening. This part of the event will be shot under a performance situation – i.e. without the use of flash and relying solely on ambient/stage lighting.

There will be a make-up artist on had for the ladies during the afternoon. The venue has many beautiful soft leather sofas, a bar, stage, metal and wooden stairs and wooden handrails for you to use and an area will be set-up with a plain backdrop. You will need to provide your own flash/lighting etc. Additionally there is a large public park right outside the venue if you want to use natural light but this is public space and therefore nudity is not appropriate.

The cost for this day is £35. The models/performers will be working on a TF* basis with a payment to cover expenses (their show is effectively subsidising the group shoot).

Additionally, you will need to provide a high-rez cd of non-watermarked image to the models for their portfolio use and a copy of all finished photos to the venue, although these can be watermarked. Finally, if this is successful it will be repeated and I would request (and this is totally optional) that I could have a copy of images for potential use in a book of the event(s) in the future – any book profits would be for charity.

Don't miss this chance to shoot 7 lovely burlesque ladies, some of which don't normally model for photographers, and a live burlesque show all in a beautiful 1930s converted cinema!

hey! id be extremely interested if you'd have me! I was looking to do some live burlesque shoots ad i have expereance with live performance photography as i shoot bands too.
