Ladies, I know what you mean about taking your OH to burlesque shows. But honestly, I agree that once they've seen a couple it becomes completely commonplace to them. My ex used to come to lots of my shows and after the first couple, he didn't even make it out of the dressing room to watch me! I think most men have an idea of what burlesque is (they imagine strippers) but then when they watch it, they realize it is nothing of the sort and they either lose interest or appreciate it as an artform. Same as most people. I know plenty of women that expected one thing when they came to a show and then were bowled over by what burlesque actually was. It's all a question of education...
