Alternative style bellydance company from Holland 'The Uzumé are joining us for Shangri-la and are going to be teaching two workshops:
* Hawaiian Fusion with Minka - Aren't we all in love with the pacific....Dancing on the beach with your feet in the sand...expressive, powerful and feminine. Let's fuse this feeling with Tribal Fusion! Come and learn the differences between Eastern and Hawaiian movements and how to incorporate them in your choreography
* Maya vs Minka - This workshop will be a very special collaboration! M&M will guide you on a creative journey through the pacifics with a freaky touch. Minka will teach a Hawaiian Fusion combo and then we will start spicing it up with Maya's Acid-Toolbox. A new fusion will emerge: Let the games begin...
Neo-Hips - Theatrical fusion bellydance with the fabulous NEO-HIPS
A Tribal Fusion Bellydance troupe in a league of their own.
Moirai - American Tribal Style Bellydance troupe will be teaching
Travelling Steps, Spins & Turns - An ATS workshop:
Learn how to change the dynamics of your dance with mesmerizing turning and travelling movements.
Jelilah - Popular belly dancer and teacher Jelilah brings you Hula Auana (modern hula)
Learn some basic hula moves and put them together in a simple choreography.
This is a fun, gentle dance that will definitely leave you with a smile on your face!
Hafsa - One of the Midlands finest bellydancers with her popular drum solo workshop.
Learn to master a drum solo and be confident about pops, locks, shimmies,
flutters and undulations, with live drumming
Beatrice Flowers - Introduction to bellydance.
The shimmy behind Shangri-la introduces Bellydance for absolute beginners
If you haven’t tried bellydance yet, this one is for you! Learn the basic movements and find out about the history of the dance and about costuming and much more.
