J.D. Smith Album Launch Report and Thank You's
Now that I've finally recovered from one very late night - time to report on last nights Album Launch.
Blody hell, what a turn out - in the end I had to walk around the outside of the building to get from the front of the venue to the back, it was easier than getting through the audience. The Flapper made a killing at the bar whilst J.D. and ourselves picked up new fans - good job we're doing it all again on September 27th, although a little differently (more Burlesque and less music).
And now onto the thank you bit. First up, and most importantly, I'd like to thank my co-promoter, J.D. Smith. Without J.D. last night would not have happened. Continuing with the musical side I'd like to offer a huge thank you to Nate Pilgrim and the Magnificatz who opened the night. Finally I want to thank Swampmeat, two really nice guys that got the audience going.
Moving onto the Silk Stocking Striptease Show side, thank you to local star Delilah Dufoe who continues to entertain everywhere she goes - book this woman if you can. Next up is Fleur du Mal, another outstaning performer who had the audience eating from her hand during her fan dance - another talented performer who should be booked more often. Finally a big thank you to my other co-promoter, third performer and wife, Angel LaVey.
I'd also like to thank the man who had to bridge the gap between Burlesque and Music, our compere The Decadent Gent. Still suffering from terrible jet lag, stressing about a poorly Miss Ditzy Diamond and having to cover for some misscommunication between talent and promoters, he got up on the stage and made sure the audence knew who was coming next and when. :twothumbs:
And finally moving onto the people who did their bit but did not appear onstage - thank you to the management and staff of The Flapper, the sound tech Eddie, J.D.'s girlfriend and our talented photographers from Tip Top Photography. I'm looking forwards to the photographs.
And for me, the one thing I learnt was the pitfalls of co-promoting. Although the show ran fairly smoothly I have realised that I need to get things totally straight with my co-promoters so the show is seamless.
Oh yeah, thank you to all the people who came to watch the show. Glad you had a great night and hope to see you again come September 27th.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Just to add to Gehenna's post:
The talent on stage last night was fantastic.
The music rocked, the ladies were elegantly cheeky - yet again, another amazing evening out.
I'm sat looking through the shots from last night so will get them over to Gehenna for the sites asap.
Again, well done to all involved.
