Thread: Southampton's Burlesque Scene - Roxy's Rendezvous

Hello Southern burly peeps and beyond!

Apologies for the lack of communication on the MOB Forums x The beginning of this year didn't go off to a great start for me, car accident was the major and changing job was quite minor considering, however juggling all this with finances and getting back on track with my burlesque has all been somewhat of a time issue!

However, as you may of may not have heard/seen on other sites, I'm back online and onstage I will be continuing to organise and hostess regular burlesque shows 'Roxy's Rendezvous' at The Soul Cellar, Southampton (An Introduction | Soul Cellar)

I admit, the first shows I jointly organised, with my now ex-partner and held under the name 'The Heart Of Burlesque', was all a learning curve for me and I have gained knowledge & experience from this which I hope, was noticed in Mays Rendezvous show and all future Rendezvous shows.

I am very pleased to say that due to the high attendance and popularity, I have an agreement with The Soul Cellar to put on bi-monthly burlesque shows. The next 3 dates are; Sunday 26th July, Sunday 20th September and Sunday 1st November.

Performers; these 3 shows are now fully booked, however, if you haven't done so already, please contact me and I will be more than happy to add you to my performers directory for the future shows of Roxy's Rendezvous in 2010 as I am prescreening now as I know many of you, like myself are already getting booked!

Before I wrap this up, I'd personally like to thank anyone who has been part of a show or attended one. I value your participation as without you, the shows would have not been possible. Thank-you for your continued support :kiss:

And remember the hottest burlesque night in Southampton showcasing neo, classic and alternative burlesque from well established performers on the burlesque circuit and supporting up & coming new talent in one show mixed with Cabaret, Live Music, Comedy & guest DJ's along with compere Mr Peter Vert. Roxy's Rendezvous shows will keep you all teased and tantalised... Sunday nights have never been so daring!!!

Look out especially for an alternative show lined up for a Halloween special - Roxy's Rejects!!!

Dear Roxy
Do you know of any local burlesque artists who want a free portfolio?I would be entering their photographs into photographic competitions,this would be good for advertising your shows.In exchange for their modeling work i would also provide them with an A3 sized framed portrait.
