Thread: Performer(s) needed for Edinburgh Fringe show 2010

Hi folks,

Pretty petty thieves theatre co are putting on an experimental, visually exciting show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010 fusing drama, burlesque, physical theatre and music & we are desperately seeking a Burlesque Dancer(s) to perform up to 3 routines within our 1 hour show (each routine up to 5 minutes- we would be led by you what would go into the routines). Obviously looking for something classy and sensual, not trashy.

The show is rather dark and gothic, an Edgar Allan Poe adapted tale, so we would be seeking someone who would fit into the show reasonably well.

You'll need to be free to rehearse for a few hours once a week from March onwards 2010, and be free for the 1st 2 weeks of August when the show will be performed. Please note, this is unpaid work, but will be a great opportunity for you to get noticed at the Worlds largest arts festival!! There are plenty opportunities at the fringe for you to do guest spots at other venues - some which have amazing Burlesque nights! We're a really nice group of people and look forward to hearing from you.

The show is quite dark and gothic, so would need performers to fit into the style of the piece - nothing too extreme though. Looking for sexy, sensual and classy performers, nothing trashy! You don't need to be a seasoned professional, just someone with a passion for Burlesque and showstopping routines
