Hello folks,
This is Lucida Sans, I'm a burlesque performer/producer/teacher based in New Paltz and New York, New York. I'm going to be studying in Bulgaria from January into the summer. I imagine Balkan burlesque isn't exactly a thing, but does anyone know if there are any other burlesquefolk based in that area? Perhaps in Budapest or Greece? I plan to spend a fair amount of time in Roumania (Bucharest and Transylvania), Thessaloniki, Istanbul, and Budapest with visits to Berlin, Warsaw, Paris, and Italy. I'd love to plan some of my trips with the local burlesque schedule in mind, where it exists--ideally to participate in shows, or else just to enjoy them. I know of burlesque in Spain and Italy, but don't know much about events happening elsewhere in Southern or Eastern Europe. Does anyone have recommendations for me? I'd be thrilled.
