Sapphira Resigns From Australian Burlesque Festival
There comes a time as an artist when one evaluates where to put one’s energy and what projects require the most attention as such I have resigned from the Australian Burlesque Festival team.
I have indeed enjoyed co-founding the Australia Burlesque Festival but in July last year I made the decision to stand down. I truly enjoyed contributing my international experience and global media sales skills to building the event to where it is today.
I believe as entertainers our role is to shine a light, to inspire others as well as inspire each other. It was a joy to meet so many talented people, see so many smiles and hear so much laughter at all of the events and workshops.
A key highlight for me was securing London’s cult make-up brand Illamasqua as a national sponsor as they broke into the Australian market. I felt this gave the festival credibility and turned the spotlight on the event internationally.
I leave the team in the capable hands of Dawn Lindsay (Dolores Daiquiri) and Rose Black (Rosy Rabbit) and wish them every success.
I am devoting my time to launching my singing career, becoming a Soul Voice sound healer, empowering women through my burlesque academy and volunteering to bring the fabulous work of non-profit organisation More To Life to Australia. These courses changed my life and I want my friends and family to be able to access the training, too. www.moretolife.orgWARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread
